I had a whole shpeel I was gonna do on the “dropping” of the new single “Gimme More” all inclusive like with a link to the song and everything. Then I saw that hot @$$ mess last night on MTV.com (I’m self respecting enough to just catch highlights on youtube or online. I can’t sit through that mess). I have not laughed so hard in such a very, very long time. She didn’t even phone that performance in; more like she doodled it on a napkin at the airport lounge and asked one of her sons to hold it for her ‘til she could drop it off at the VMAs all while high on some sedative. It’s a sad @$$ shame, really. All that money and this is the best she could do? Hell, is this the best MTV can do? It’s time for that network to revisit the mission statement. They let Tom Freston go over MySpace, but then had the nerve to run this triflin’ mess. “What comes around goes around, what comes around goes around, you know what I’m talkin’ about…..” Thank you Biz Markie. For your “viewing pleasure” (if it can so be called), I have added the MTV link to the performance as well as the Z100 song link. I find it helpful to listen to the Z100 link first so that you can hear the actual song before it’s further tainted with visuals. I’m not saying I was wild about it, but it was in typical Spear’s fashion, and you could bet the farm that it was going to be the banging club hit after several remixes and Seacrest endorsements. Alas, that may still happen, but the stigma-ta (he he he) of last nights performance is going to take a whole lotta holy water and prayer to fix. I know it’s wrong, but I’m enjoying the implosion. Britney + permanent retirement = good idea.
Please note the geriatric stylings of her personal choreography. Who knew she’d hit the geritol years so fast.

OMG!!! If I had been there I would have demanded my money back. If I had watched it on TV, I would have done the same! Who told her that anything about her performance was okay? The costume was inappropriate. What was supposed to pass for dancing (on her part) was horrible. Madonna, Cher, hell Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and Sara Vaughn could each have done better and at least two of them are dead! And if you re-play the music enough times you would eventually over-saturate have no choice but have it replay in your head! Otherwise I found nothing noteworthy about it. They put lame horses down, but let that madness go on. Damn.
You are hilarious. I saw a few minutes of this awful performance. Usually, I'm a glutton for punishment, and will pretty much watch anything, but I couldn't watch this mess. I turned from it after a few moments. However, I did see the whole performance after clicking on the link you provided. It was like she was on a quaalude.
